I am going to try to school myself into doing useful exercises while I am away and have copious spare/boring time to kill. Preparations for pirouette (I'll get a quarter turn down COLD, man), posture and balance work, that sort of thing. Pliés, because if I don't work on them while I'm away I will DIE when I get back to class. <br />So! I'm adding this frappé exercise to the to-do list in my head!Rheumatic Princesshttp://rheumaticprincess.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5852598541290842468.post-46058746069778331382012-10-03T12:47:55.397-07:002012-10-03T12:47:55.397-07:00I'm still crap at frappés with beats. It throw...I'm still crap at frappés with beats. It throws me for a loop if we keep the foot wrapped in sur le coup-de-pied with beats. My Teacher is okay with me taking out the beats so I can at least get down the basic movement first and then move into beats. What also helps is keeping your foot flexed or wrapped in your spare time and just touching front and back, slowly, and making sure you're turned out and every time you touch the same spot mentally acknowledge that. Then you'll remember when doing beats where the foot goes without more thought about if you're in the right position or not.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5852598541290842468.post-69314005774931131312012-09-26T19:40:02.801-07:002012-09-26T19:40:02.801-07:00sounds like a good idea! Took some practice but it works!Black Sheephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14391466531180678926noreply@blogger.com
